A compact courtyard can offer more than a route to the back gate. Outdoor Blitz can bring seating, planting and useful surfaces together, or improve one part of an existing layout. Our Rozelle transformation shows built features and lawn arranged within the available space.
A cramped Rozelle courtyard rebuilt so the floor stayed clear. Synthetic turf edged in timber replaced the failing green area, a hardwood bench was built along the back fence instead of using loose furniture, the rear fence was clad in vertical grey timber, a charcoal-framed pergola with polycarbonate roofing went over the sitting area, and the hardwood decking was oiled.
