Front garden planting makeover and fresh lawn around the pool
The project
Garden Upgrade
Worn synthetic turf was removed from the front verge and the poolside at this Leichhardt property. The front garden was replanted in layers with feature rocks and mulch, and natural turf was laid around the pool, which sits cooler underfoot than the synthetic surface it replaced.

What the site presented
Synthetic turf worn and holding heat
The synthetic surface on the front verge and around the pool had worn out and ran hot underfoot in summer.
Almost no planting at the entry
The front entry had very little growing in it, which left the facade with nothing to sit against.
What we built
Front garden replanted
The synthetic turf was removed and the bed replanted in layers, with feature rocks and mulch through it.
Natural turf around the pool
Natural turf was laid around the pool, which is cooler underfoot than the synthetic surface and sits better against the black fence and palms.
