Both yards of a Monterey property were rebuilt in one job. A timber deck was built for the entertaining area with an aluminium pergola over it, timber edging was run to match, planter boxes were built into the layout, and Sir Walter buffalo turf was laid front and back.

Yes, where there is adequate growing space and access. Select plants for mature size and light so the bed does not crowd the seating or main walking route.
Can you help if I do not have a finished design?
Yes. Start with what you want to do outside and what is not working in the garden. Outdoor Blitz can help plan the layout, surfaces and planting alongside the construction work. If you already have a plan, share it with your enquiry so the proposed work can be discussed.
Can existing plants and surfaces stay?
Useful planting, lawn and sound surfaces can form part of the new layout. Their condition, levels and position need to work with the changes. Tell us which features you value so they can be considered when planning the work.
What affects the cost of landscaping?
The area being changed, materials, removal of existing surfaces, ground preparation and access all affect the cost. The choice of surface, soil requirements and finished levels help define the work involved. I wasn't sure where to start, so I discussed my backyard ideas and the required maintenance with Sam, who helped lay out options, plans, and estimates. Work included: • Building a new timber dividing fence (plus removing old, damaged fence) • Building a levelled trampoline area in the back corner, including relocation of some established plants • Re-turfing the backyard Sam also helped co-ordinate some dependent tradies' work (investigating existing sewage, with some replumbing required before the trampoline site was worked on). The team completed all the work in time for the trampoline delivery for my Son’s birthday – we are very happy with the outcome and would love to work with Sam and the team again if new projects arise :)
