Multi-Feature Renovation
Front and back yards in Petersham brought under one palette. Stepping stones set into white Cowra pebbles carry the paths, herringbone pavers were laid through the main surfaces, and Merbau seating was built around a fireplace to give the back yard a place people actually gather.

What the site presented
Front and back sharing nothing
The two yards had been done separately and had no materials or detailing in common.
Nowhere to gather
The back yard had no defined place for the household to sit together.
What we built
Fireplace with built-in Merbau seating
A fireplace was built with Merbau planter box seating around it, which fixes the seating in place and defines the gathering area.
One material palette across both yards
The same materials and detailing were carried front to back so the property reads as one job rather than two.
